This body of work shows the daily life in Kathmandu Valley which, due government laws, suffer a controlled daily 12 hours black-out. During the electricity cut off people go out in the street trying to catch the last ray of the sun to keep them warm while they get ready for the night with candles and torches. Nepalese people spend a lot of time outside, from morning till late in the night. For them the sun is fundamental for their own life. Even nepalese flag does represent the light and the dark. It has an unique shape of two overlapping […]

This is part of a story of my journey between Varanasi and Rajasthan State during the winter of 2016. India is not the easiest place to visit, is big, busy, crowded, incredible in any sort of way. I travelled by trains and local buses to move around Rajasthan and it was not a easy ride. Having so much time to spend on old buses and bumpy roads I discovered villages that seemed to be there since the beginning of the time. The aesthetics of those cities are so unique and beautiful that is difficult not to fall in love with […]

In my imaginary Saigon known as Ho Chi Minh City, was the place I dreamt of thanks to the movies I saw when I was a teenager, The Lover, Apocalypse Now, Good Morning Vietnam.. But Saigon is also well know for the 20 years Vietnamese War and before to go there I didn’t know what to expect. It is a chaotic city, with thousand of motorbikes that skip you suddenly while you are crossing the street, not mention that traffic lights don’t work for most of the time. Motorbikes are the principal way of transport, you can see a family, husband, wife, children, grandma […]

Japan is everything you want. Japan is tradition, with young girls dress-up with kimono, or Maiko with their white painted face and red lipstick walking in an almost timeless Kyoto, visiting the temples  and attending ceremonies. Japan is the most fashionist people in the world and transparent umbrella, maybe because you can see and be seen everything and everybody. Japan is shy workers that speak to you only with the eyes.

Post's featued image.

It was supposed to be Siem Reap instead was Phnom Penh, which was a nice surprise. Big public gardens, a riverside with high palms, full of bar, pub, restaurants and a vivid night life, an amazing sky where you can lose your eyes.  For the first time we saw a match of khmer kickboxing and a girl sniffing glue. There are markets everywhere, people sell everything they have, keeping hands and mind busy. Once again I asked myself if I was born in those countries like Cambodia, what local people think about tourists, which are their dreams, if they have […]
